Rock 102 is excited for the return of Show & Shine Weekend from Friday, August 19 to Sunday, August 21.
“We look forward to this great summer event all year,” said Rock 102 Morning Show hosts, Sheri and Woody. “We are especially thrilled to celebrate 40 years and the return of the downtown car show event on Sunday, August 21 from 11am to 4pm. We have lots of awesome events throughout the weekend.”
There is no fee for participating in Show & Shine. Car Clubs can pre-register and reserve a spot at the event by emailing showandshine@rock102rocks.com. Individual classic car owners hoping to show off their pre-2002 vehicle can come down on Sunday, August 21 between 9:00 am and 10:30 am. Space is limited and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Other great events to look forward to as part of Show & Shine Weekend are Rock 102’s Drive & Shine and Rock 102’s Rock the River – Saskatchewan’s Classic Rock Festival at Bess Gardens at Delta Hotels by Marriott. More details and events will be released in July and August.
Rock 102’s Show & Shine Weekend began in 1982 and has been part of Saskatoon summers for four decades. Hundreds of classic cars, trucks and motorcycles are expected to take over the streets and attract people from all over the province. The downtown car show is Western Canada’s largest with over 900 cars lining fourteen city blocks from 1st Avenue to 4th Avenue and between 20th Street and 23rd Street.
