Regina, SK – On Saturday June 7th motorcycle enthusiasts got their motors running for the fifth annual Who’s Your Daddy Ride for Prostate Cancer. Their trip took them down Highway 11 from Regina to Chamberlain and back, all in support of a good cause - the Prostate Assessment Centre (PAC) at the Pasqua Hospital.
In 2014, an estimated 670 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and an estimated 150 men will die of prostate cancer. For men in Saskatchewan, prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed type of cancer.
Pat Fiacco, CEO, Hospitals of Regina Foundation, says, “We are honoured to once again partner with Rawlco Radio for this exciting event. They have once again helped bring awareness of men’s health issues to the forefront. Thanks to all the riders for coming out to support the Prostate Assessment Centre and to help showcase the importance of prostate health within our province.”
Tom Newton, Vice President & General Manager, Rawlco Radio, says, “Rawlco is dedicated to supporting men’s healthcare and will continue engaging the public to become more involved. We appreciate all the amazing upgrades that the PAC has received and we intend to keep this centre equipped with the latest technology. Thank you to all of the new and returning riders who have shown their commitment to this cause.”
