CJME Day of Caring For Penny Project

News Talk 980 CJME would like to thank Regina and area for taking the time to donate to the Day of Caring for Habitat for Humanity. With their help we raised $90,590.00! With the support of great individuals in our community and surrounding area, Habitat for Humanity was able to provide a new home to one very grateful family.

From 6am to 6pm Himpe, Don and Sam Maciag (from the News Talk 980 CJME morning show) along with John Gormley and Jamie Nye broadcast live from the Cornwall Centre for 12 hours straight accepting donations for Habitat for Humanity to give hard working families in need a hand up in getting safe and secure homes.

Proceeds from today’s event will be used by Habitat for Humanity to build a home within the city of Regina.

Although the $100,000 goal was not reached in the one day, Sherwood CO-OP came forward the following day with the remaining dollars needed to build the home.

Ground Breaking for this home build will take place Monday, June 17th.
