Hundreds of Less Fortunate Children Receive Coats from Rock 102

SASKATOON – “With winter upon us, many children will need warm coats, toques and mittens and this is an expense many families cannot afford,” Sandi Meldrum, Executive Director for Care & Share tells us, “With the help of Rock 102 and the great people in Saskatoon, hundreds of children will receive something many take for granted.” This Wednesday morning, the mountain of coats collected over the past month will stand tall over the children who are about to benefit from Saskatoon’s generous donations.

With help from The Centre, Market Mall, The Mall at Lawson Heights, Confederation Mall, and Rock 102 listeners, over 900 coats will be donated to Saskatoon’s less fortunate children through Care and Share Saskatoon. Care & Share works to provide opportunities in sports, enhance the school experience and provide basic necessities for the less-fortunate children in Saskatoon.
