Rawlco Radio's Day of Caring for Fort McMurray

“RAWLCO RADIO’S SASKATCHEWAN DAY OF CARING FOR FORT MCMURRAY” RAISES $641,110 FOR THE CANADIAN RED CROSS

The “Rawlco Radio Saskatchewan Day of Caring for Fort McMurray” raised $641,110 demonstrating the generosity of Saskatchewan communities and the difference that can be achieved when we all band together.

For the first time ever, all six of Rawlco’s Radio Stations – C95, News Talk 650 CKOM, and ROCK 102 in Saskatoon, and Z99, 94.5 Jack FM, and News Talk 980 CJME in Regina - teamed up for a day of caring to support the Canadian Red Cross and help those affected by the wildfires in Fort McMurray.

Proceeds from today’s event will be used by the Canadian Red Cross to provide emergency food, clothing, shelter, personal services, and other necessities to help assist with recovery and resiliency to the people of Fort McMurray and the surrounding area.

Here are just a few of the outstanding donations made today:
• Areva Resources Canada Inc $5,000
• Gordon Rawlinson, owner Rawlco Radio $10,000
• Furniture World & Sorenson’s Fine Furniture (on behalf of the Sorenson Family) $10,000
• Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan $10,000
• South Saskatchewan Community Foundation $50,000

Through the support of our listeners and corporate partners, Rawlco Radio is proud to facilitate such a successful fundraiser and present the Canadian Red Cross with $641,110.
